Day 141
Had such a fun day at Waterworks Park in Redding! Charlie's dad's cousin Velda lives in Redding, so she brought her little "adopted" (by way of friendship, nothing legal) granddaughter (age 7) and joined us for the day. It wasn't overly crowded and we rode and rode and rode those water slides. What a surprise to run into a friend from Medford there with her family. Afterwards, Velda took us to dine at an amazing Chinese restaurant at the airport. Heading home now. Definitely a perfect last day before school starts tomorrow! Homeschool, that is!
(Two pictures because Sarah closed her eyes in one and Hannah wasn't smiling in the other because the sun was too bright. )

Day 131
As a wife, mom, Pathfinder counselor/secretary, medical biller (at home), medical administrative assistant (in the office), homeschooler, chief cook and bottle washer, and more, I barely have time to sleep, much less have a garden. I would love to have a garden, not so much because I love to garden, but because I love the bounty it produces. So today I was very happy to accept a box of fresh home-grown tomatoes from my boss/uncle!

Day 108
I went in for another lumbar injection this afternoon. The Dr told me last time I had one that I could expect 6 to 8 months of relief with the last one and it was nearly 14, so that was good. The pain has started creeping back up on me, and with the insane amount of walking we'll be doing on our trip to Oshkosh starting next week, I wanted to see if I could prevent a good bit of pain.
We also had a thunderstorm roll through again today. The sky looked so interesting, almost cut in half, when we left the store after dinner.
