Day 108

I went in for another lumbar injection this afternoon. The Dr told me last time I had one that I could expect 6 to 8 months of relief with the last one and it was nearly 14, so that was good. The pain has started creeping back up on me, and with the insane amount of walking we'll be doing on our trip to Oshkosh starting next week, I wanted to see if I could prevent a good bit of pain.

We also had a thunderstorm roll through again today. The sky looked so interesting, almost cut in half, when we left the store after dinner.

Day 107

Nothing else worth taking pictures of today, so here's my new swim top that came in today's mail.

Day 106

I don't know what this little old guy's deal is for sure, but every time I drive down Garfield, he's walking. No matter what time of day I drive that road, he's out there. Sometimes several blocks down from this intersection, sometimes here walking back and forth across the railroad tracks, sometimes with a little notebook in his hands like he's checking something at this box he's by right now. He only carries this umbrella when it's quite hot or when it's raining. Just... Funny.

Day 105

It was a beautiful day for a birthday pool party and bbq. We had about 30 people and lots of great food and fun! Thankful for a boss that let us use their pool and yard for our celebration! Sarah turned 9 on the 11th, and Hannah will be 11 on the 31st.

Day 104

My poor phone... A friend gave me a screen protector (a little too late), but I think it will at least keep my screen together until I can upgrade in October.

Day 103

Sarah got to go to Rogue Air Trampoline with her BFF Laurissa this afternoon. They had a great time.

Day 102

I don't have an exact count, but our shoe drive is wrapping up with somewhere over 6,000 pairs of shoes collected.

Summer time means fresh peaches. Toss then over some homemade ice  cream... Yum!!

Day 99

A fun day at the fair. Thankfully not too hot, at least with the breeze blowing most of the day. The kids definitely got the use of their ride pass arm bands.

Day 98

Another day where I didn't take any pictures. Had a nice church service, potluck, etc. Then the girls and I, plus Bob & Sue, Jen & her sister Trish, all went over to see my grandma.  Sue brought her guitar, and I took my guitar and Sarah's violin. Sarah played a couple songs for Great-Mom, then we all played and sang some of the hymns that she loves. Came home and jumped in the pool with everybody. Just never got around to taking any pictures! But here's a picture of a picture I drew in church...

Day 97

I really want a trip to the coast. But I don't have the time or money to do that right now. So I'm settling for rereading this little booklet my Mom brought home for me on one of her trips over. Looking for agates on the beach is my absolute favorite thing to do there. It's so relaxing.

I finally got my Pathfinder sash put together. No more patches stapled in place. This is the real deal. Now I'm ready for my Master Guide investiture next month!

I am SO disappointed that I don't have the picture I wanted to post today! On the way home from a meeting at church, I had to stop the car as we came around a bend just past the school, to let a family of skunks make their way off the road! Mama followed by 5 babies! Oh, I wish I could have taken a picture, but they were tails-up pointing at my car, so no way were we going to roll down the windows! So instead, I'll leave you with this drawing of a skunk that I did in honor of them.

Day 92

I wanted to spend some time with my friend Michelle before they move to Montana next week. I guess painting bedrooms with her is as good a time as any!

Almost 90° out at 9:30 p.m.? I think that calls for a dip in the pool... That's how it was when we lived in SoCal!

Mmm... Potatoes baked in an open fire pit and loaded with all the toppings. Eaten outdoors with good friends and family. Can't beat that!

The only picture I took today... I'm going to miss this family! Dear friends moving to Montana... Guess I'll be visiting a new state someday!

Nice way to end the 4th as well as bring in the Sabbath. Bonfire with friends and family.

I'm not sure how good this picture turned out (I'm posting from my phone and can't enlarge it very well)... And I sincerely hope that this sticker is a joke... In case it's too hard to read, it says "my son was inmate of the month at Jackson County jail". Yikes!
