One year and three days ago, I had a spinal injection that they said "might" last six to eight months. This is me today... Just back from an eight mile bike ride on the Pathfinder Bikeathon. Not the 50 miles a lot of the kids are doing, but a huge difference in the past year.

Sarah had her violin recital today. She was so nervous before it started! But she played beautifully and was all smiles afterward.

It was really nice this afternoon to see two friends I've known for somewhere around thirty years.

Pathfinders were asked to do a color guard for the spring concert at the school. Hannah did the part asking everyone to stand, and led the pledge of allegiance. They all did a great job!

Hannah's American Girl doll, Samantha, came home from the American Girl Hospital today. She had to have a "hip replacement". ;) She came home wearing a hospital gown, id bracelet, and new socks. She also received a get well card, a certificate of good health, and had her hair brushed and a new pink ribbon tied in it. Hannah is so happy to see her again!

Most of Sarah's curriculum for next school year. Hannah's looks very similar, but I still have a bit more to procure before I can say we have everything together.

Day 23

Hannah was given a gift card to the book store for being chosen as Pathfinder of the Year. She had a hard time choosing her prize! She finally went with  a classic... The first two original Nancy Drew mysteries in a back-to-back double book.

One of my pathfinder kids gave me this gorgeous pot of flowers after investiture Friday night. Walking out my door and seeing it every morning makes me smile!

Day 21

We went for a bike ride on a beautiful Sabbath afternoon with friends today. We'll be having a pathfinder bikeathon in a couple weeks so we wanted to calculate the mileage of the trail we plan to use. Just about 4 miles one way. Beautiful ride!

The lady at the DMV wouldn't let me take a picture of Sarah getting her picture taken for her id this afternoon. So I took a picture outside. :)

Today, as the hard drive in my laptop prepares for imminent failure, I am thankful for little devices like this 1TB external hard drive, on which I can backup my system before its demise.
