Day 78

Hannah has been growing her hair out for at least nine months to make a donation to Wigs For Kids. She decided that today was the day, and she looks SO cute in her new pixie cut!

Day 77

Sarah's best friend came home with us after church today, and they went out to take some leftover potluck foods (cooked-to-death peas, blech) to the chickens. They came running in all excited that they found a tiny egg. It's the size that a juvenile hen would lay, which is kind of funny for four-year-old hens! (I included a comparison pic with one of their usual eggs)

Day 76

Tonight at VBS, we had an animal feature with The Reptile Guyz. They brought in several different reptiles, and they were a huge hit with just about everyone. Some people didn't like the snakes, but at least no one went screaming out of the room when he pulled them out.

Day 75

Went to empty out a box at another church in town today. Sarah climbed inside to get the last of them from the bottom of the box.

There was a cute little 4 week old emu at vbs tonight.

Day 73

We took our Guinea pigs to VBS tonight, and so did Sarah's BFF. The 5 piggies had a little "play date" as all the kids (80 of them) came through and took turns petting them. Ours are the two calico ones.

For about five years now, (ever since Hannah figured out how to do it), Sarah has been trying to learn how to curl her tongue like Uncle James and I do. She finally got it!

So worn out after jamboree, they slept most of the 90 minute drive home.

And they're off... Traveling with grandma & grandpa to go spend 9 days with Auntie. Flying home by themselves! They're getting too grown up.

Apparently Sarah is a little worn out... Up about an hour and a half later than usual last night, still up at her normal time this morning. Add to that a nice warm afternoon... rocking on the swing with Jason lulled her right to sleep.

The girls went to track and field day at the school today. They were on the green team, but it was still pretty funny that Hannah and her little friend Mackenzie wore the same color shorts, too. And not denim.

We went to the yearbook signing party at the school today so the girls could see all their old friends once more before summer. So nice that they still include us in those things even though we are homeschooling now.

Spent the weekend collecting and counting shoes for the shoe drive. 600 pairs!
